There are so many health and wellness podcasts to listen to out there. There is an abundance that it’s almost overwhelming.Well, look no further because I’ve got a great one for you.
Mind Pump Media!
I began listening to their podcast my senior year of college. They inform you about the realities of the health an fitness industry, types of workouts, and eating habits. They tend to have a guest on the podcast that is revolutionizing the fitness industry or an expert in a specific fitness/ health/wellness area. It’s not all just informative talk but they include some humor which makes the podcast very enjoyable. They add into the conversation their personal life which adds an authentic vibe and rawness, I love it!
On April 10th they held a meet and greet in Encinitas, California, which is near San Diego. I work in the OC so I drove down there right after work and it took me about an hour and half to get there. I was so exited. The meet and greet didn’t stat until 7:00 p.m. I arrived around 5:30 p.m. and I was so glad there wasn’t a line at all. I even had time to walk for a bit, grab something to eat and was still able to be the first one in line!
Meeting them was a great experience and I truly enjoy listening to their podcast. I wanted to meet them but also thought, “Wow, this is a great opportunity for me to interview them if they allow me to.” I approached Sal and Adam who were in front of me and I briefly told them that I was a college student in Radio/Television and would like to conduct a quick 5- minute interview with them if possible. They were so kind and immediately agreed. I was beyond grateful.
After the crowd settled in, they began with a quick Q&A with the crowd of fans that attended and then the meet and greet began. It got busy and lines were forming after each MindPump host. I waited until the very end which was around 11 p.m. to do the interview. I didn’t mind at all. I was tired and still had to drive an hour to get home but I was blessed to be able to obtain this opportunity.
Here is the link to the interview and video as well. I hope you enjoy. Tune in to their podcast and get informed!
